New York City Property Tax Expertise
Local New York City Property Tax Expertise with a National Footprint
New York City’s fiscal 2022–2023 property tax assessment roll presents a market value of almost $1.4 trillion, an 8% increase in taxes and estimated taxable assessments of $274.8 billion. The market is making a recovery, but many property owners continue to face high vacancies and less revenue generation, making it essential to apply to the New York City Tax Commission for reduction in property valuation.
Winning appeals in New York City requires a deep knowledge of the market and a unique approach with a history of relationships with the various assessing and reviewing agencies. In addition, having a local attorney experienced in the laws and familiar with the judicial process on your side is crucial. We collaborate with our local counsel from the inception of the matter. This partnership allows us to assist in preacquisition due diligence, present your appeal to both the Tax Commission and the court, and avoid appraisers.
The local experts at Ryan are the most seasoned professionals in real property tax appeal services. In addition, our custom systems have been designed and developed to capture maximum tax savings, along with providing administrative advantages for our clients. We have both the deep local expertise and national presence to handle diverse portfolios seamlessly for clients in all industries in New York and across the country.
