DALLAS (Dec. 2, 2019) ‒ Ryan, a leading global tax services and software provider, announced the acquisition of SALT Payroll Consultants, a subsidiary of Pinpoint Recovery Solutions Corporation. SALT Payroll Consultants is a leading state and federal payroll tax recovery firm based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since its formation in 1994, the firm has become a recognized market leader in the recovery of unidentified payroll tax refunds and savings opportunities for multinational corporations.
This acquisition adds a team of highly qualified tax specialists with proven experience reducing payroll tax liabilities and delivering hundreds of millions of dollars in payroll tax refunds for Fortune 1000 companies. The deal also adds several significant Fortune 500 relationships to Ryan’s client portfolio and expands the capabilities of the Firm’s Human Capital Tax practice.
Kevin Cappock, managing partner and chief executive officer of SALT Payroll Consultants, will join Ryan as principal and practice leader of Ryan’s Employment Tax practice. Mr. Cappock has more than 25 years of experience helping large corporations recover overpaid taxes resulting from complex payroll and unemployment tax laws, missed communication between payroll and accounting departments, mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructurings, and more. He will drive continued strong growth in the practice and will manage the delivery of Ryan’s suite of human capital tax services.
