2012 Better Workplace Award for Innovation
Ryan won the 2012 Better Workplace Award for Innovation from the Association of Washington Business (AWB). The AWB Better Workplace Awards honor companies across Washington state that create family-friendly, safe, and positive workplaces that result in higher employee morale and well-being, increased productivity, and reduced turnover. Ryan was the winner in one of only three award categories for innovative benefits and compensation programs.
2011 Optimas Award for General Excellence
Ryan won the 2011 Optimas Award for General Excellence for our flexible myRyan work program that reinvented our workplace culture. Sponsored by Workforce Management Magazine, the international Optimas Awards recognize leading companies for their outstanding achievements in talent management and ability to provide tangible business results through forward-thinking workforce initiatives. 2011 Brandon Hall Excellence in Sales and Marketing – Best Marketing Impact Bronze Award
Ryan’s CFO Magazine national advertising campaign achieved bronze-level status in the Best Marketing Impact category of the 2011 Brandon Hall Excellence in Sales and Marketing Awards. This award category recognizes companies that achieve outstanding results through innovative and impactful marketing initiatives. The judging criteria included marketing approach, evidence of impact, clarity of examples, and overall impressiveness of entry.
Best Employers in the Great Toronto Area (GTA) 2012
Ryan has been named to the 2012 GTA Best Employers list, achieving a ranking of number 29 from a large number of Canadian companies that competed for a place on this prestigious list. Based on research conducted by Aon Hewitt, a consulting arm of Aon Corp. and the Queen’s University School of Business, this list recognizes organizations with high employee satisfaction and commitment, and a very strong focus on employee engagement.
True Blue DFW Business
Ryan received 2011-12 True Blue Business recognition by Blue Ribbon News DFW, in partnership with Scott Sams, news anchor with KRLD NewsRadio 1080. The series uses multiple media channels to publicly recognize exceptional companies and business owners in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that are “doing business right.” Ryan earned this honor based upon its proven record of providing exceptional sales and use tax services to its clients, supporting its team of seasoned professionals with the myRyan flexible work program, and demonstrating a strong commitment to improving the quality of life of others through giving and community outreach efforts.
Accounting Today Top 100 Tax and Accounting Firms
Excluding the individual tax preparation firms, Ryan is the 7th largest corporate tax services provider and the largest firm generating 100% of its revenue from tax.
The Austin Statesman Top Workplaces 2011
Ryan’s Austin office was named to the 2011 Statesman Top Workplaces list for the second year in a row. This prestigious award recognizes 85 companies throughout the Greater Austin region and is based on employee opinions of their company management, benefits, compensation, environment, motivation, and growth opportunities. The Dallas Morning News 2011 Top 100 Places to Work
For the third year in a row, Ryan's Dallas office has received this prestigious award recognizing model employers in Dallas/Fort Worth that have created workplace environments that nurture and respect employees, and in the process, make those employees proud to work there. Ryan was ranked the best place to work in the state of Illinois by the Daily Herald Business Ledger. The Daily Herald Business Ledger has promoted the “Best Places to Work in Illinois” program since 2006 to identify, recognize, and honor the top companies that offer the best places of employment in Illinois, thereby benefiting the state's economy, workforce, and business environment. Forty Chicago-area companies were honored as “Best Places to Work in Illinois,” and Ryan ranked 1st in the large employer category. This first-place ranking was the result of a rigorous two-part evaluation of Ryan’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics, combined with a comprehensive employee survey measuring the Firm’s work environment, culture, and employee pride and satisfaction.
Washington Business Journal’s “Top 50 Best Places to Work in Greater Washington"
Ryan‘s Washington, D.C. office ranked 2nd in the large companies with nonlocal headquarters category of the “Top 50 Best Places to Work in Greater Washington” for 2011 by the Washington Business Journal. Companies were judged based on the results of an employee survey administered by Quantum Market Research, which evaluated team effectiveness, retention, employee alignment with company goals, trust with co-workers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, work engagement, and people practices.
“Flex-Friendly Employer” Certification
The Flex Pages has certified Ryan as a “Flex-Friendly Employer.” Flex-Friendly is a national Workplace Flexibility Directory and Certification administered on an ongoing basis by The Flex Pages to highlight and recognize progressive companies that offer flexible work schedules. Companies who qualify for this certification are surveyed and evaluated on flexible policies, procedures, and benefits, as well as organizational culture as it relates to flexible work options.
Customer Service Institute of America
Ryan has been awarded the prestigious “Certified Customer Service Organization” certification after undergoing a rigorous audit and certification process conducted by the International Customer Service Standard (ICSS). The ICSS is the standard used globally and is the only standard acknowledged by the International Council of Customer Service Organizations. ICSS is internationally acknowledged and has been recognized by the International Standards Accreditation Board and has been adopted by the British Department of Trade and Industry. This certification applies to Ryan offices worldwide.
